Weather engineers celebrate as Jet Stream is successfully tamed

British weather engineers at Jet Stream mission control cheered as a gigantic, nano-engineered bot cloud shifted the polar front jet to the north of the UK. Fist bumping and hugging each other, old and young geeks alike, the scene resembled that of NASA's mission control when the first humans were set down on Mars.

The lead engineer shouted into the camera, 'Britain - get ready for a comfortable 23 degrees and barbecue summer!'

We haven't got there yet in being able to control the weather and in an ideal world we shouldn't have to. But with the rise of extreme weather events it looks like we'll have no choice to play god with the heavens.

The only other alternative is to build gigantic arcological domes over our future mega cities that protect us from monster 21st century hurricanes.
