To make things clear, to set things straight. Yes, I am attracted to melancholy, darkness (I also love sunshine 🙋), fear and horror. But repulsed by the cruelty and gore so omnipresent in our culture, society and humanity in general.
It's when you see double decker buses moving around the city you live in, with giant posters advertising the latest sequel in the 'Saw' universe, with school children on those buses, that you realize how low we have fallen. How sick and bloodthirsty humans are by nature. Indeed have always been, no matter our advances in technology.
I don't watch those films. Or anything like them. Have no desire to.
And don't retort "it's only a film!". I know how sick a part of you are inside. That you like to watch people get tortured. See them crying in pain. Deep inside your brain. Lurking inside your seemingly mundane life.
